This technology seems to change much over the phone. Traditional public switched Telephone Network (PSTN) is looking for is replaced by VoIP. VoIP stands for Voice over IP. VoIP is the routing of conversations over an IP network or the Internet. VoIP uses packet-switching network is not circuit-switched voice transmission lines used by traditional telephone networks. VoIP does not require internet connection to work. A company that has relationships with all the LAN computers can use VoIP technology.

VoIP is a great technology, but implementation problems. VoIP may face problems due to latency and Social Quality of Service guarantees, or Sequential provide information packets in the process. High-speed Internet connection required for VoIP and firewalls often prove tricky for VoIP technology. Combat this, many people use Session Border Controller (SBC).

VoIP technology has many advantages. There are new articles and more VoIP because of the lack of the International Telecommunication Union. VoIP is still very open market for developers, so that the technology increased. VoIP also has a lower cost than traditional sources because of the monopoly of existing or traditional phone company controlled by the government. Some users even see VoIP as free calls without paying for additional services. Users only pay for Internet services, and therefore the use of VoIP seems to be free. You can also take your VoIP phone to go anywhere because all you need is a network connection to work. VoIP technology also benefit network agents who work in call centers. Agents can help callers from anywhere in the country and an internet connection. Finally, since VoIP is on the computer, there is increased function. The conference call can be held, information can be sent, and things like address book updated and can be used on VoIP.

While VoIP has many advantages, there are some weaknesses and services. One major weakness is the reliability. The phone lines back to the generator in case of power outages, so phones can keep working. Because the VoIP network connected, the electric power that will end a VoIP call when the computer is shut down. Combat this, users must buy an expensive uninterruptible power supply or a generator that must then be installed in place. Internet connection is also subject to termination, depending on crowded networks, and the quality of the ISP. If the internet connection down, then the VoIP call will be deleted. VoIP is also a problem for emergency calls. Because of the nature of the Internet and VoIP systems, emergency workers can not trace the call. In the case of an emergency has a problem but fail to address, emergency workers will not be able to track the call and get one. VoIP carriers are trying to fix this problem and carry out technical work around. Finally, it would be difficult to integrate VoIP in a small scale, because at the Plain Old Telephone System (POTS) has a size standard, VoIP does not have.

VoIP has many advantages such as a lack of. Constraints on the main street of global VoIP adoption is reliability. When VoIP proves that it could be like a service with reliable telephone has become a tradition for many years, it will be considered to start. VoIP technology is always improving, so the problems with VoIP today are likely to be completed earlier than most people expect. VoIP can truly revolutionize both the business and home life.
